Emperor favours Roman church
The new Roman emperor, Alexander Severus favoured the Roman church and protected it. His mother, Julia Mammaea
, was a friend of the early writer Origen. Despite claims that Emperor Severus had a personal conversion, he honoured Jesus as one of many gods.
Death
